Description

Manor house demolished in Civil War replaced by a farmhouse. Considerable remains of fortifications around it noted in 1797 (B7).
Greenland House garrisoned for royalists in 1644 & besieged for a month, surrendering in July. Afterwards demolished. Cannon balls found in garden (B1-3).
