Description

MEDIEVAL SITE 2. 50 YDS UP HILL FROM MED SITE 1(NGR). PIT SUNK 1FT 9INS INTO VIRGIN CHALK, WITH DEFINITE AREA OF BURNING. PRODUCED SHERDS, KNIFE BLADE &2 IRON NAILS (BI1). MED SITE 2 HAD BURNT DOWN; THERE WAS BURNT TIMBER & STONE PRESENT (BI4)
