Dimensions - Width 0032 Length 0146 mm
A socketed bronze spear head with two loops was found about 2 ft below the surface in moved soil, near the so called Dane's Dykes (SU 88 SW 15) : Iron Age fort) close to the new house at Danesfield (SU 816 844). It is in the possession of A H Cooks (B11). BRONZE SPEARHEAD FOUND C.60 CM BELOW SURFACE IN MOVED SOIL CLOSE TO NEW HOUSE AT DANESFIELD. FOUND BY ?POTTER. FLAT BLADE IS 81MM LONG. LOOP ON EACH SIDE (ILLUS)(B11).
