Description

A woodland boundary comprising a well-formed bank, 3.2-4.2m in width and 0.7m in height, flanked to the north by a ditch 2.0m wide and and 0.4m in depth. This feature is similar in construction to the boundary to the south-west, indeed they may be two segments of the same boundary. The bank and ditch dog-leg around, though apparently pre-date, an area of quarrying (SU 89 NW 28), and are cut by a later hollow way, suggesting that this feature is a relatively early component of the woodland landscape (B1-3).
Boundary is visible in Chilterns Conservation Board LiDAR dataset.
