C13 HALL OF 3 BAYS EXCAVATED IN 1972. FLINT FOOTINGS & CENTRAL PITCHED TILE HEARTH. TILED ROOF. 2 INTERNAL POSTHOLES SUGGEST AN AISLED BUILDING WITH NARROW AISLES & A POSSIBLE EXTENSION AT N SERVICE END. THIS HALL PROB. PINKNEY/DESPENSER MANOR RATHER THAN EDWARD II C14 HOUSE (SEE CASS 01539)(B4,B6-7).
