Description

Dimensions - Height 3m, Radius 9m.
1 of 2 large tumuli - westernmost. Well marked ditch, broad to NE. Ramp in line with the dyke. Scheduled: SAM 35338 (B1).
Standing on line of Grim's Ditch - appears bank possibly removed to build mounds (B2-3).
2 sherds of medieval pottery (1 glazed) discovered (B4).
Cross cut in mound mentioned (B1).
2 further sherds of medieval pottery found in rabbit hole (Brill decorated jug & lid rim), also misc sherds, roof tile and struck flake (BCM Accession 1996.133) (B11).
