REFERENCES TO 2 MILLS IN TAPPELAWE, 1227...PRIOR DE MERETON SAYS THAT STEPHEN DE CLYVEDON MOVED THE MILL AND HE (THE PRIOR) CANNOT NOW SUPPLY WOOD TO MEND IT. STEPHEN SAYS HE MOVED IT TO SPARE THE WOOD NEEDED FOR REPAIRS (B1). THE FACT THAT MILL COULD BE MOVED SUGGESTS IT WAS A SMALL WINDMILL (B2).
