A WINDMILL STOOD ON CIPPENHAM MANOR IN 1272, & WINDMILL FURLONG OCCURS AS A PLACE-NAME IN 1368. REFERENCE TO WAYNDMELLE-WAY, 1395; WINDMILL HILL WAS PART OF THE SITE OF THE ABBEY IN 1605 (B2,B13).
WINDMILL FIELD IDENTIFIED AT NGR. IN 1730 A WINDMILL STOOD ON SITE OF STATION MASTER'S HOUSE (WINHILL) (B8).
