COLLECTION OF POTTERY AT BCM WITH LABEL HITCHAM PIT DWELLINGS MAY 1889 INCLUDES SOME SAXON SHERDS (B10,B12).
DISCUSSION ON SAXON POTTERY FROM GWR PIT: ALL HAND-MADE & IN DARK REDUCED FABRIC. 1 IS STAMPED. VESSELS PROBABLY HAD A DOMESTIC ORIGIN (ILLUS)( B11).
