Description

Probable early/mid nineteenth century ornamental cast and wrought iron footbridge In the parkland of Missenden Abbey at the south end of Warren Water. No founder's name or iron-maker's brands survive. The bridge appears to have been built as an ornamental structure, but constructed strongly and to a high standard of workmanship. It survives relatively intact. The bridge was restored in March 1996. See report for detail (B17).
