Description

GRADE II+. EARLY C18; PROBABLY BY COLEN CAMPBELL. PORCH WITH 4 COLUMNS, PEDIMENT, ENTABLATURE WITH DECORATED FRIEZE (B3).
Refered to as the 'Fishing Temple' and described as a garden seat, facing the 'Great Room' from the south end of the canal (B9).
Condition survey carried out in October 2007 by Oxley Conservation concluded building in a poor condition although apparently not much changed since 1999, but requiring repairs. See report for detail (B11).
