Description

Built in 1740 by Charles Lowndes and possibly extended in 1857 by William Lowndes. Mausleum is a plain ashlar building approximately 8m long and 3.3m wide, with a gabled stone roof and stone floor. The heavy oak door has a semi-circular window opening above and there is a similar window in the rear wall of the building. Inside 4 iron ties span the width of the building.
