Description

SAID TO BE HOARD OF CARAUSIUS (286-293 AD), A GREAT NUMBER OF COINS FOUND BY WORKMEN IN 1751. MOST PASSED INTO HANDS OF OWNER, MR DRAKE & SUBSEQUENTLY ALL LOST, NO RECORD POST 1753 (B1).
HOARD PRESUMABLY HAS SOME RELATION TO VILLA (CASS 01450) & SETTLEMENT AT MANTLES GREEN MEADOW (CASS 00292)(B3).
