Plan Form - H SHAPED
2 TRENCHES C.40YDS APART, RUN PARALLEL FOR 80 PACES & ARE INTERSECTED BY A TRENCH NEAR MIDDLE. FOUNDATIONS UNDER TURF NEARBY. SITE OF CHAPEL MENTIONED 1420? (B1 (1856)).
IS THIS THE H-SHAPED EARTHWORK SKETCHED ON CAS CARD 0028, LOCATED ON E SIDE OF GT HORWOOD- SINGLEBOROUGH ROAD, AT NGR? (B2).

Boundaries and possible building platforms of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at the southern end of the settlement at Singleborough, Great Horwood, and centred at SP 76667 31823. These earthworks are linear banks and ditches forming probable boundaries and building platforms. There appears to a building on this site on the 1813 map and two wells are shown in the parcel in the Epoch 1 map, with other buildings/enclosures, but only a small building on the edge of the road (a shelter shed) is visible on the Epoch 2 map. Being rebuilt/demolished on Google Streetview; it is coursed rubble and brick, open both sides, with a corrugated iron roof with blue ridge tiles. (4-6)
