24 HAND AXES FOUND IN WORKINGS AT NGR OR FROM CASUAL WORKINGS ON NEARBY GOLF COURSE. ALL ARE SHARP & PATINATED. MOST ARE POINTED SHAPE. FOUND MOSTLY I N FIRST DECADE OF C20. (B1-3).
0 AT BCM, 5 AT READING MUSEUM, 8 IN TREACHER COLLECTION, OXFORD UNIVERSITY MUSEUM, & 1 IN BRITISH MUSEUM (B2-3).
Site mentioned in English Rivers Palaeolithic Survey, deep tree-covered pit opposite gates to Kiln Wood, other pits existed on Dorney Wood Golf Course(B6-7)
