Description
CHURCH OF ST. LEONARD, ANCIENTLY APPENDANT TO ASTON CLINTON CHURCH. SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN ORIGINALLY BUILT ON SITE OF HERMITAGE OR CELL BELONGING TO MISSENDEN ABBEY, AND FOUNDED C.1278. REBUILT AFTER CIVIL WAR BY CORNELIUS WOOD (B1).
NOTE THAT CHURCH BUILT C15, BUT WAS RESTORED C17 (B2-8).
