GOOD DEFENSIVE POSITION & IRON AGE POTTERY FINDS HAVE LED TO SPECULATION THAT BANK & DITCH ARE PART OF A HILLFORT (B8). FURTHER IA SHERDS FOUND DURING WATCHING BRIEF. CURVING ARC OF REMAINING EARTHWORK WOULD GIVE AN ENCLOSURE WITH DIAMETER OF C300M. (SUMARY OF EVIDENCE FOR HILLFORT)(B16).
