Plan Form - DOUBLE EDGED

SU 80598456) (1). PART OF FLAT, TANGED, BRONZE KNIFE FOUND ON SW RAMPART OF BOLEBEC'S CASTLE/MEDMENHAM CAMP above Medmenham village. IT HAS A LUSTROUS, GREEN PATINA & BREAK NEAR HILT IS RECENT. The knife
is in the possession of the finder, H M Slater. HILTED END NOT FOUND, DESPITE SEARCHING (B10). FOUND BY H M SLATER. AT BCM (B11-12).
TANG & PART OF BLADE OF DOUBLE-EDGED KNIFE (B13).


The precise find spot of the bronze knife was indicated on the ground by H M Slater at SU 8059 8455 on the surface of the rampart of the Iron Age fort (SU 88 SW 16). The knife is now lost, and from Mr Slater's sketch is is impossible to determine its type. Surveyed at 1:2500. (B22)
