Description

Four pieces of limestone mortar found in in March 2019 by Tom Clark whilst detecting, and recorded by Mike Farley.
The pieces were found among other stone near a removed hedgerow on the surface of a ploughed field from which medieval pottery has previously been retrieved. Tom Clark also found two coins of Edward I, some medieval buckles and three medieval keys. He also notes three distinct limestone spreads (possibly indicating buildings) roughly between the find area and an adjacent stream. See report for detail (B1).
