Description

Grave located 13 due north of the east end of the chancel. Discovery of probable vault. Backfill may indicate an earlier collapse some years before (December 1994). Gravestone found wihin the fill. Straight brick wall and its return represent the vault wall, whilst the curved brickwork represents the collapsed roof. Brick chamber and slab located at depth of 750mm below modern ground surface. Grave slab 1.50m long, 0.10m thick, 0.58m wide. Name 'ALFRED GEORGEā€¦.. 25.11.83' (B8).
