Description

Brick-built tunnel, 1m high and 0.87m wide. Constructed of red bricks with an arched roof. The bricks averaged 240mm long, 110mm wide, and 70mm thick. A water pipe lay set in concrete in the floor of the tunnel. Feature had been constructed using the cut and cover technique, so was found beneath a variety of fills representing swift backfillng [May relate to tunnels 0440910000](B25).
