Euston to Boxmoor opened 20th July 1837. Boxmoor to Tring opened 16th October 1837. Tring to Denbigh Hall opened 9th April 1838. Denbigh Hall to Birmingham opened 17th September 1838. Length from London 105 miles (B1)

The main line was quadrupled in the 1870s (B3).
