Description

The Candos Arms, built in 1839, demolished in 1943 following WWII plane crash (B1).
The 1943 crash of a Wellington bomber demolished the Chandos Arms and a row of cottages behind (B2).
High Street - a 1947 photo shows a single storey building where the Chandos Arms stood four years earlier (B3).
