Description

A plaque in the church commemorating those killed in WW1 is surrmounted by a wooden cross. An Altar Cross was presented by Canon Phipps along with two altar candlesticks - one for each of the Canon's two sons who were killed in WW1, but the candlesticks were stolen in 1973. Three men are listed on the plaque who are not mentioned on the village war memorial, (CAS 0754400000) - and one person, (Hubert Diuxbury), appears on a window only - no futher infiormatiom known regarding the window. The Church also has a separate Roll of Honour. Photographs (B1).
