Description

Milestone. Proposed for inclusion on local list (B1).
Present in 2002 on updated Milestones Society survey website on Thame to Risborough route ID number BU_THRI06. On verge between road and ditch,on south side of A 4129 Longwick Road at Alscot. 31cm wide X 28cm deep and 60cm high. Inscription: centre: '…ORO.. 'Assume this was Risboro half mile and remainder was Thame/31/2/ Oxford/20'.

In handwritten notes on maps were in Bucks County Museum now in Centre for Bucks Studies. Under 'J5 Milestones on Ground'. NGR 803 042 no number on 1" OS 1835. No parish recorded. No description under information. [ Handwritten notes consulted ] (B4).
