Description

Second World War military camp visible on 1946 and 1947 RAF vertical APs and surviving features shown on 6-inch and 1:10,000 OS maps from the late 1950s/early 1960s onwards. Several of the original buildings appear to have survived and parchmarks of the access roads and footings of the hut bases are visible on 2006 and 2003 Aps (B1).
In use as a prisoner of war camp according to local informants (B2).
