Description

Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century cast iron milepost on the B4011 in Long Crendon village. Recorded as present in 2010 on Milestones Society website on Thame to Blackthorn route National ID number BU_THBC02. On Bicester Road by wall by Perrots Farm. Now outside No 45 Bicester Road opposite Blane Close, on OS. No dimensions recorded. Inscription: left: 'BICESTER 12' : right: 'THAME 2'. [Detailed description, location and photograph] (B1).
'Milestones Thame to Blackthorn.' Location: centre of Long Crendon. Parish: Long Crendon. No number on 1-inch OS map of 1835. Information: Not seen (B2).
