Description
Plan Form - Linear.
Black Hedge marks boundary of Monks Risborough. Found to contain 12.44 species in a 30yd stretch. First mentioned in AD 903 charter (illus)(B1-2).
'Blacanhegcean' dated by species count to C8. 30ft wide in places, appears to be a double hedge with central ditch (further detail & charter transcript)(B3).
