Description

CLOSE BY E ENCLOSURE WALL, S OF ENTRANCE, WAS A WATTLE-&-DAUB SHED, CONTAINING 2 FURNACES & A WELL, WITH A SURVIVING STRIP OF CHALK FLOOR (B1).
AP'S SHOW SQUARE ?DITCHED STRUCTURE IN THIS POSITION (PLOTTED AT 1:2,500)(B14).

Cropmarks of a cluster of small adjoining ditched enclosures of various sizes: one was 25metres by 25 metres with an internal subdivision 12 metres by 9 metres, another was 20 metres by 15 metres. Linear ditches were also recorded to the south of the enclosures. Sketch plotted at 1:10,000 (B22).
