LARGE WORKSHOP/BARN, USING N ENCLOSURE WALL AS ITS N WALL. S WALL PROB REBUILT. BUILDING CONTAINED 2 LARGE DOUBLE FURNACES (SEE 00:300) & CLAY-LINED WATER TANK IN NE CORNER. FRAGMENTS OF FLINT FLOORS AT VARIOUS LEVELS SUGGEST WOODEN SUBDIVISIONS. ROOF TILES, CHARCOAL, & SOOT SUGGEST FIRE DESTRUCTION (B1).
Geophysical survey of the main villa complex by Chiltern Archaeology and local volunteers in 2008 as part of the 'Romans in the Hambleden Valley Project' confirmed the presence of Cock's 3rd house and associated annexe. No additional features were identified associated with the villa buildings. Fieldwalking in Winter 2008 as part of the 'Romans in the Hambleden Valley Project' of an 2,880m square area located finds of ceramic building material (mainly roof and flue tiles with some chalk and flint, and few fragments of concrete), pottery, tesserae and nails, with a significant concentration of CBM at the NW, in the vicinity of Cocks' 3rd house (B24).
