Description

HOARD OF 294 COINS FOUND IN SMALL BLACK POT ON INSIDE OF N WALL OF COTTAGE, BURIED UNDER FLOOR & COVERED WITH TILE FRAGS. IVORY PIN APPARENLY USED TO FASTEN CLOTH OVER JAR MOUTH BEFORE IT WAS LAID SIDEWAYS. COINS ALL QUADRANS, EXCEPT FOR 6 FOLLES & DATE FROM 271-C.326. MOSTLY CONSTANTINE I (B1).
