Geophysical survey of the main villa complex by Chiltern Archaeology and local volunteers in 2008 as part of the 'Romans in the Hambleden Valley Project' confirmed the presence of Cock's gravel trackway which was shown to continue further to the NW. A possible second and third trackway or paths were identified branching off the main trackway and aligned roughly E-W. 'Look and see' fieldwalking in Winter 2008 in the remainder of the field outside systematic fieldwalking grid, located finds of ceramic building material and pottery, with a particular concentration in the west, in the vicinity of Cocks' gravel trackway. There were no finds in the northern part of the field or close to the Skirmett Road (B24).
