Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century cast iron milepost on A418 before Roundhills Farm on Aylesbury Road Haddenham just north of layby on south sde of road. National ID number BU_AYTH06 recorded on Milestones Society website in 2010 on Shillingford to Aylesbury route.. Present in 2002 but ' sunken, top removed by hedge trimmer '. 49.5cm wide 24cm deep 5cm high. Inscription: left: TO THAME 4 : right: TO AYLES-BURY 6 : top: HADDENHAM PARISH. Confirmed by handwritten notes on 1" County Map (1835) were in Bucks County Museum now in Centre for Bucks Studies. Museum number 32 sheet XXXII on page 3 of notes. Thame to Chearsley, Westlington and Dinton (N2) route. Inscription: Ayl 6 Thame 4. In same notes under Milestones and N in red box. 1810 50 Geo. IIII c. 74 Road to be measured and MSs to be set up.
