According to Peter Gullands study of The Toll Roads of Buckinghamshire 1706-1881 with their onnections into neighbouring counties 2017 this is on The Princes Risborough and Thame Turnpike Road 1795 p.241. This road Station Road is now A4010 and the turnpike went southwards from West Wycome then straight through Risborough along the High Street. This dead straight road was part of enclosure 1797 this was taken over by the trust in 1822. These are the most primitive milestones in Buckinghamshire simple rectangles of stone roughly shaped no two the same town names in white and mileages in black on one face parallel to road.
