Probable eighteenth or nineteenth century cast iron milepost on A41 beside Priors Furlong west of Hall Farm in Westcott. Recorded as present in 2002 on Milestones Society website on Aylesbury to Bicester route National ID number BU_LCB45. On north side of road 54cm wide 37cm deep 98cm high.' Has been painted around 1997 and appears to have been moved by tractor 2002.' Inscription: top: LONDON 45 : left: TO AYLESBURY 7 MILES : front: WADDESDON PARISH : right: TO BICESTER 9 MILES. Confirmed by handwritten notes on microfiched OSD surveyors drawings (1814) and 1'' OS map (1835) were in Bucks County Museum now in Centre for Bucks Studies.
