  • FARMHOUSE (18th Century to 19th Century - 1700 AD? to 1899 AD?)

Description

Building recording and background research carried out in April 2009 by Archaeological Services and Consulting in advance of proposed redevelopment of farmstead as an archive research centre. The detached farmhouse lies about 15m to the NE of the other farm buildings. A smaller house is shown at the current location on maps from 1776 onwards and in its current form from the 1880s so it may have been rebuilt in the late nineteenth century, as were at least some of the other farm buildings (see report for details (B1).
