Amersham Railway Station - Railway station on the Metropolitan Railway, opened on 1st September 1889 when it branched off the would-be main line to Chesham with an extension from Chalfont Road (now Chalfont and Latimer) to Aylesbury, with intermediate stations at Amersham, Great Missenden, Wendover and Stoke Mandeville.
