Description

THE MANOR OF BOURTON WAS ASSESSED WITH BUCKINGHAM IN DOMESDAY (1086) & WAS HELD WITH IT TILL C16 (B4- HAS MANORIAL HISTORY).
IN ?C1324 THE MONKS OF BIDDLESDEN ABBEY WERE ORDERED TO GIVE UP THEIR LANDS AT BOURTON & DESTROY ALL THE HOUSES THEY HAD BUILT THERE (B6).
