Description

Grade II. Barn. C17, altered C18 and C19. Rubblestone with old tile roofs. Barn has 5 narrow bays with central cart entry and south wagon porch with painted weatherboard gable. To left a projecting weather-board gabled stone building with tiled roof, now a garage. At left of main barn is cross wing of 2 bays with porch which has thin brick gable above a band course, some diaper work. Central cart door with segmental arch, flanked by single light stone framed windows. North or rear elevation has central cart door flanked by single 'arrow-slits'. Crosswing has timber framed north gable with thin brick infill. Interior. Double purlin roof with tie-beam and collar trusses with collar struts attached to underside of principal rafters (B6).
