Description

Hugh holds (Great) Kimble himself from Walter [Giffard]. It answers for 20 hides. Land for 11 1/2 ploughs; in lordship 2, a third possible. 22 villagers with 8 smallholders have 8 1/2 ploughs. 6 slaves; meadow for 11 ploughs; wood for fences. The total value is and always was £10. Sired, a thane of King Edward's, held this manor; he could sell. (B1). NGR to centre of village.
