Description

2 linear features aligned northwest-southeast, identified during evaluation trial trenching (trench 1), carried out by John Moore Heritage Services in January 2003. 1 was a large flat-bottomed ditch or water channel, 2.15m wide and 0.52m deep; with 2 water-laid silty fills, the upper of which included post-medieval finds. The other feature was a shallow round-bottomed gully, 0.65m wide and 0.1m deep. Both features were overlaid by demolition rubble or make-up layer and a cobbled yard surface (B7).
