Description
The 1599 Estate map of Salden makes reference to the 180 acres of Winslow and 3 1/2 yards of land in Granborough called Biggen. The map shows a 2-bayed house with another building (barn) to the east to the south of the river. To the north, the odd field pattern (triangular shape rising to a point in the NE) reflects the shape of two field boundaries outlined in trees on the map (B11).
