Description

The area excavation carried out by Oxford Archaeology at Lot's Hole covered some 80x x 250m. Thirteen distinct buildings or structures are identifiable by postholes and/or beam slots. Building 51270 was defined by 19 postholes giving a rectangular structure some 10.5m x 4.5m. Two postholes possibly define an entrance on the W side. An L-shaped gully defines a small enclosed area, possibly a paddock or garden to the W (B12).
