Description
The English Heritage Survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes the remains of the path which once ran the length of the avenue comprising a bank, some 100m long x 1m wide x 0.5m high, with a hollowed centre in places. It is depicted on the 1880 OS map (1).
