The boundary comprises a ditch extending over a distance of 166 metres east-west, it is 3 metres wide and 0.8 metres deep, and cuts broad ridge and furrow and a former course of the Dad Stream. The ditch marks the course of a field boundary shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1814 and removed sometime after 1843 (3).
