Description
The English Heritage survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes two intermittant scarps running for 200m from the NE corner of the walled gardens towards the house. Some tree holes occur to the north of the track. The track is shown, with trees around it, on the 1843 estate plan. A further scarp at SP 6720 3780 may be part of the track but it also corresponds with a field boundary removed in 1982 (20).
