Description
The English Heritage survey of Stowe undertaken in 2001 notes a small circular hollow about 1.5m across x 0.3m deep at this location and interprets the feature as a tree hole, possibly from 20th century (no tree is shown here on 1843 estate map or OS maps of 1880 and 1900) to screen the nearby barn (1).
