Description

The National Trust's Survey of Stowe undertaken in 1989 noted fragments of limestone masonry in this vicinity and interpreted them as possibly the remains of the Queen's Theatre which was at the opposite end of the Bridgeman's canal to the Rotunda. It was demolished when Bridgeman's formal gardens were obliterated in the mid 1700s (18).
