Description
In March 1999, a service trench was excavated to the NW of the secondary access route into the Stone Yard to the Stowe House. The trench revealed the remains of a gravel road and the foundations of the western edge of a brick wall which once lined it. Both features are depicted on the 1843 plan of the estate made by Henry Howard. (1)
