Description

During the construction of a temporary car park in June 2000, three fragments of carved stone were recovered. It is suggested that these are from the former site of Temple of Baccus (some 60m away) which demolished in 1927 to make way for the School's Chapel. The temple was known as the 'brick building' but stone was used for architectural detail (B1).
